Um, yeah... I've been meaning to post for a bit.

I actually do have a valid excuse for my limited drawing over the course of the last month due to overtime... nevermind about the months prior to that. ; p I did, however, start attending a Life Drawing class starting back at the end of August which I feel has helped immensely. I'll be posting some of that in the near future (I hope.) but as for now, here's some of the stuff I was working on in my spare time. I like to think I'm improving and half of the reason for this blog is for me to hopefully show some of that progress. So here it is... with the most recent at the top and the older stuff at the bottom:

I was working on these while waiting for my plane to arrive at the airport and then toying a little with it at home. I also tried a (relatively) quick sketch of my cat (her head at least) while I was watching Dexter. Not bad for my first shot at a cat in awhile, I suppose.

Here's one of my attempts at a block in from a reference image I used from CharacterDesigns.com. The other is a sketch I worked on while watching Castle. Not really a great likeness of Nathon Fillion, but not bad for me.

Another block-in and some core shading from another reference from CharacterDesigns.com. I really should get around to finishing him up... one of these days.

These sketches took place after a few weeks into my Life Drawing class. I think it shows a little compared to my previous attempts at the head and figure posted further below:

This is just a mixed bag of sketches I was working on. These sketches were done prior to starting my Life Drawing class.

So, amusing story about the sketch below. I was sketching while waiting for a plane back in September and decided to try and sketch this girl sitting nearby. They called for us to board and I was trying to recall her after I found my seat, only to have her sit down right next to me. I felt a tad awkward, but then I'm not sure if she realized it was supposed to be her. ; p The other one is a brutish I was trying to sketch... my ability to represent anatomy was (and still is) rather limited, but that's what the Life Drawing class is for. ;)

Just a face I was sketching while watching Law & Order... not much else to say about this one.
